Berry Tractor is currently seeking a Technical Trainer to join our team. Execute training courses covering Electric Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Engines in alignment with OEM standards for technicians to earn the certifications required to meet our manufactures requirements. Deliver instruction in both classroom and hands-on environments. Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to improve students' knowledge and efficiency. Responsibilities Collaborate with other Affiliate Trainer(s) on curriculum development, maintenance, and enhancements. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats. Keep up to date with changes to technology for Komatsu, Bomag and McCloskey, all other products by maintaining certification and reading current journals, books and magazine articles as needed. Understand relevant training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing programs. Monitor students' progress and provide feedback and suggestions for their growth. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with both technicians and Divisional leadership. Deliver training materials and reference documents (i.e. procedure manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visual aids). Travel to stores for training as required. Ability to provide tech support both in person and remote/virtually. Attend Training courses for the machines that are sold in our market. Participate in the Komatsu Training Alliance program. Review and submitting TSE/TSR for all OEM As able, participate in recruiting events attended by Berry Tractor and Berry Companies. Qualifications 5+ years of industry experience specifically related to working on heavy construction equipment. 2-year associate degree or technical degree in diesel mechanics a plus. Teaching, instructional, or mentoring experience a plus. Communication, organization, and computer systems. Expert level electrical, diesel engines, hydraulic, and diagnostic knowledge. Strong Leadership and Problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of shop processes and procedures. Physical Requirements Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment. Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
