Job Details Location: Hazleton, PA 18201 (Northeastern Pennsylvania / Pocono Mountains) Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Inpatient Rehab / Rehab RN Assignment Length: 13 weeks (short-term travel assignment) Setting: Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit (rehabilitation nursing) Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,750 - $1,840/week Start Date: April 6, 2026 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Patient Ratio: 1:6 First-time travel nurses welcome Job Requirements Active Pennsylvania (PA) or Compact RN license required (must be in hand at time of submission) Minimum 1 year of recent acute inpatient rehab experience (rehab RN, acute care rehab) BLS certification (required) Proficiency with Epic electronic health record/charting system Experience in blood glucose monitoring and port care/management Charge nurse experience preferred Community hospital experience required Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute inpatient rehab setting Provide rehabilitation nursing interventions for patients with neuromuscular disease, spinal cord injuries, and post-craniotomy care Monitor and manage blood glucose and central/peripheral ports Administer medications, including insulin protocols, anticoagulation therapy, and blood products Perform wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, and pain management Assist with feeding devices, tube care, and swallowing precautions Use Epic for accurate, timely documentation and care coordination Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management Participate in fall risk assessment, infection prevention, and patient education for discharge planning Why Join Our Team Opportunity to grow as a travel nurse in rehabilitation nursing Supportive, collaborative clinical team environment Experience working in a community hospital serving Northeastern Pennsylvania Scenic location with easy access to outdoor recreation in the Pocono Mountains Apply now: Submit your resume and current PA/Compact RN license to be considered.
