About the Opportunity We're hiring CNC Machinists and Manual Machinists at entry and advanced levels for a well-established manufacturing operation in St. Louis City. This is a temp-to-hire role offering clean facilities, modern equipment, multiple shift options, and consistent production work. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or manual equipment Load programs or complete manual setups depending on machine type Adjust speeds, feeds, and tool offsets to meet blueprint specifications Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision tools Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues to maintain quality and efficiency Complete production documentation and quality logs Work independently or support senior machinists/programmers Uphold safety, cleanliness, and proper shop procedures What You Bring Experience running CNC or manual machining equipment in a production or job-shop environment Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints Proficiency with precision measurement tools Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail Nice-to-Haves Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other CAM platform exposure Multi-axis machining experience ProtoTrak or conversational controls Prior CNC programming or setup experience Tools & Technologies Used CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, manual lathes Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, and similar controls Precision gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauges CAM software (varies by client) Schedule, Pay & Location Schedule: All shifts available Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire through Express Employment Professionals Location: St. Louis City Pay: Entry Level: Earn up to $20-$26/hr Advanced Level: Earn up to $28-$38/hr Why Work with Express Employment Professionals We partner with 250+ local companies in the St. Louis and St. Charles County area.
