As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be a Leader/Doer utilizing an AI driven approach to creating an advanced geospatially aware, graph-based energy analytics engine. Essential Job Functions: Leader/Doer mentality. This position will require hands-on experience and the ability to utilize Agentic AI development approaches to quickly turn ideas into functioning prototypes and production-ready systems Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance on graph-based and AI/ML solutions Strong knowledge and experience with network optimization and predictive analytics Strong geospatial knowledge and experience with GIS tooling and coding techniques Strong data visualization skills to turn data into actionable insights Oversee and provide guidance for less experienced members of the team Explain complex problems to non-technical people Collaborate with technology team members and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize processes suitable for AI/ML solutions Design and deliver AI/ML solutions to solve real-world business problems Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of solutions Stay up to date with advancements in AI/ML and incorporate new approaches as appropriate Contribute to a culture of innovation by championing AI-driven improvements company-wide Basic Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a data science role Leader/doer mentality Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related degree Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions from conception to completion Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C# Strong adherence to best practices and standards Preferred Requirements: Strong knowledge of property graphs (Memgraph/Neo4j etc.) Strong knowledge of geospatial analytics Background in ML optimization and predictive analytic routines Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Knowledge of model deployment and ML Ops best practices Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Strong communication skills to present complex technical concepts clearly Experience with data visualization tools 5+ years proven experience with AI/ML in non-academic background Benefits: At Tenaska we care about the wellbeing of our employees and their families.
