Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description Join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for developing the basis of design and coordinating electrical elements to support process design. You will direct the design team in preparing drawings and specifications and provide support during the construction phase. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects, including municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. Responsibilities Develop the basis of design and coordinate electrical elements to support process design. Direct the design team in preparing drawings and specifications. Provide electrical engineering support for a broad range of projects. Support infrastructure projects serving municipal projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities. Provide on-site support for project construction, system startup, and troubleshooting. Prepare procurement specifications for electrical distributions and controls equipment. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering. Experience with low and medium voltage industrial distribution (120 & 480 volts). Expertise in preparing and reviewing electrical schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and single line drawings. Firm knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70) including Article 500-Hazardous (Classified) Locations. Experience with AutoCAD and arc flash analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications EIT, eligible to sit for the Professional Engineer (PE) exam. Experience in industries such as building design, wastewater treatment facilities, transportation, and manufacturing facilities. Work Environment Work in a well-established civil and environmental engineering firm based in St. the person, Illinois. The firm has expanded its services to include Civil/Site, Watershed Resources, and Utility Infrastructure Rehabilitation, serving over 80 municipalities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The work environment is vibrant and community-oriented, with a 'homey' office feel that includes a kitchen, gym, and outdoor area with tables for lunches and grill-outs. The firm promotes a strong office culture with BBQs and happy hours, and is located near a variety of shopping and dining options. Employees are expected to work in the office 5 days a week, with flexible allowances for personal appointments and family priorities. Relocation incentives may be available for candidates moving to the area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Antioch, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
