Supervisor, Hospital Patient Registration

Vernon Health is seeking a Hospital Patient Registration Supervisor to lead our Patient Access team and ensure every patient receives a smooth, accurate, and welcoming experience across our hospital and clinics. This role oversees registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment. Lead, mentor, and support Patient Service Representatives and Visitor Services staff. Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; support ongoing development Ensure accurate scheduling, registration, insurance benefit verification, and collection of required payments Review registrations and workflows for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency Prepare staff schedules and arrange coverage for vacations, illnesses, and peak times Oversee switchboard operations and ensure excellent phone etiquette and customer service Collaborate with leadership on policies, procedures, and quality improvement Serve as a backup to the Manager of Patient Access and Patient Service Representatives as needed. Some weekend hours of coverage may be needed to ensure the ED is operational. Qualifications: Healthcare registration or billing experience Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer systems Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to stay organized, multitask, and work calmly under pressure Proficient computer skills; EPIC Cadence training (or willingness to complete upon hire) Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred If you're a motivated leader committed to accuracy, teamwork, and outstanding patient service, Vernon Health would love to hear from you.
