Job Description: We are looking to add a Communication Consultant II, EB to join our Employee Benefits Communications team. Basic Function: The purpose of this position is to develop effective and timely communication campaigns for Holmes Murphy clients of varying sizes and needs, including handling sensitive, time-critical and strategic reactive planning. The Communication Consultant II will work closely with stakeholders to create content and support various communication initiatives, and ensure that materials are accurate, accessible, and tailored to the needs of diverse employee populations. Essential Responsibilities: Develop communications content using various communication channels, including long and short-form content (i.e. newsletter communication, microsites, presentations, text messaging campaigns and print materials, template, etc.). Independently manage client projects. Provide expert consulting & guidance to internal stakeholders and clients on effective communication practices, including best practices for engaging employees and measuring communication effectiveness. Conduct client interaction for all aspects of communication services, including proactive outreach to internal client experience teams for engagement opportunities, planning and timely delivery of outputs. Design and execute communication campaigns proactively to coincide with open enrollment periods, benefit changes, wellbeing, engagement and other key events, ensuring timely and relevant messaging. Provide collaboration & training within internal stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities: Analyze, report and provide observations driving success of multi-channel client communication campaigns. Collaborate with benefit providers and external vendors to integrate services and messaging into overall communication strategies. Ensure all communication materials adhere to regulatory requirements and accurately represent benefit offerings, policies, and procedures. Provide direction for project management, graphic design direction, and production vendor partners and fellow EB Comm team members. Support leadership in management of vendor partners, troubleshooting issues and identifying areas of opportunity. Assist with training of other team member on Communication Team specific tools. With direction from leadership, develop best-in-class template communications ready for client deployment. Perform special projects and other duties as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Superior, demonstrable, and proven technical and persuasive writing abilities. Proficiency with and strong ability to give direction on projects created various software packages, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Project Management tools, etc. Excellent detail orientation with advanced editing, proofreading, and composition skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under strict deadlines. Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks/duties simultaneously. Ability to attend on-site vendor trainings and meetings. Ability and willingness to work daily and extended hours as needed, particularly during peak busy time. Ability and willingness to consistently participate in internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics or relevant system improvements. Ability and willingness to pursue relevant designations and/or continuing education, as appropriate. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull objects. Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in English, communication, journalism, marketing, or related field of study preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 - 7 years corporate communication experience. Technical Competencies: Industry Knowledge, Principles, & Practice: Invests in the understanding and application of insurance principles, practices, and coverage to consult clients on meeting their strategic needs, including risk transfer, financial elements, relevant parties, and business flows and transactions. Client Management: Actively fosters client relationships by seeking to understand their business and needs, prioritizing deliverables, managing status, and proactively delivering unique and impactful solutions. Change Management: Understands the steps required to successfully manage change, recognizes the need for change management, and adapts communication depending on audience and topic. Supports multiple methods of communication to effectively manage change.
