Warehouse Associate / CDL A Backup Driver The Warehouse Associate / CDL A Backup Driver supports daily warehouse operations and serves as a backup commercial driver as needed. This position performs system-based and manual warehouse tasks to support inbound and outbound operations while ensuring safe, efficient transportation of goods in compliance with all DOT regulations. The role requires strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork, along with the ability to operate warehouse equipment and Class A commercial vehicles with HazMat endorsement. Warehouse Operations Accurately pick, stage, and prepare customer orders in a timely manner. Receive inbound materials and place products into assigned bin locations. Perform breakdown, put-away, replenishment, quality control, staging, loading, shipping, and inventory support functions. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks. Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory counts. Monitor and maintain SKUs and locations in the WMS to ensure efficient warehouse processing and optimal space utilization. Assist walk-in customers professionally and courteously. Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. CDL A Backup Driver Responsibilities Safely operate company commercial vehicles which require a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement. Transport goods efficiently while complying with all DOT regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Maintain accurate and timely DOT logs and required delivery documentation. Load, unload, push, pull, and secure pallets using manual and electric pallet jacks. Lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs. Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with customers, warehouse staff, and team members. Uphold a strong safety culture with a clean MVR and excellent driving record. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement required. Valid DOT medical card. Minimum of five (5) years of professional driving experience (current). Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse experience, including forklift operation. Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and strong safety record. Experience using RF scanning systems. Ability to operate forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks. Physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. Basic computer skills required; AS400 experience a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and reliable transportation required.
