Role Overview We are seeking a Reinsurance Manager to join our Reinsurance Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for all activities related to the management of Accounting/Reinsurance professionals, including administering the company's reinsurance accounting policies and practices and the preparation of financial statements. As part of a dynamic team, you will oversee reinsurance reporting, financial analysis, and business process improvements while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and controls. Key Responsibilities Manage reinsurance reporting for assigned companies, including supervisory and analytical staff Review and approve analysis and reports, including treaty settlements/billings and profit commissions Review and approve journal entries for general ledger, sub-ledgers, and reconciliations Approve financial documents in the SharePoint system Manage intercompany payables and receivables Manage letters of credit and related funding requirements Respond to inquiries from reinsurers, reinsurance brokers, auditors, and issuing companies Analyze, propose, and implement changes to business processes and systems Prepare ad hoc reports for Senior Management, Auditors, Actuaries, and Accounting Oversee timely collection of receivables and payables to reinsurers/brokers Partner with leadership on hiring decisions and workload distribution Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience Experience 6 years of relevant and progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance, including at least 3 years in Reinsurance Reporting Skills & Experience Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills emphasizing confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy Superior organizational and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable business area Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) Travel Requirements Occasional travel (up to 10% of time) What We Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage beginning on first day of employment Basic life and disability insurance 401(k) plan with 6% company match 20 days PTO, two floating holidays, approximately 11 paid holidays, and volunteer time off Paid parental leave Award-winning wellness program including mental health services and Headspace subscription Student loan matching program Employee discount program Ongoing development opportunities and strong learning culture Opportunities for growth and career advancement An opportunity to do meaningful work and love what you do Equal Opportunity Employer TMHCC is an equal opportunity employer.
