Job Description

Associate Placement Specialist Marsh is seeking candidates for our open Associate Placement Specialist position in Seattle, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, or St. Louis. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This role involves building relationships with underwriters to place complex insurance programs, develop innovative solutions, manage policy delivery and client inquiries, and provide marine RFP expertise. We will count on you to: Manage and monitor insureds' placement strategies by leveraging risk expertise and industry knowledge to develop tailored solutions that address complex client needs. Develop and contribute to go-to-market strategies, including pricing input, to support client retention and new business growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters to create innovative coverage approaches and deliver cohesive client service. Audit and finalize commission structures in alignment with client directives, Marsh Commission Yield Statements, and Facility agreements. Stay informed on evolving insurance and risk market conditions, communicating key developments to client teams, clients, and carriers. Lead complex placement and technical support activities for large accounts, ensuring procedural compliance, accurate data management, and timely contract execution. Design and implement new products and innovative solutions that meet sophisticated client requirements. Provide expert consultation to management on complex client issues and market trends, delivering clear communication that drives strategic development. What you need to have: 2+ years of commercial insurance experience, preferably with marine lines of coverage. Property & Casualty (P&C) license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal colleagues, clients, and carriers.
