San Francisco Animal Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to add to our Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience running anesthetic procedures with a boarded surgeon, ventilator experience prefered but not required, or a strong desire to be trained in this area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients through high-quality patient care. Strong candidates will be proficient in animal handling - including fear free restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, taking radiographs, and obtaining lab samples, managing/running anesthetic cases (ASA 1-5), and running advanced diagnostics. We look for staff members to be enthusiastic team players, self-motivated, with attention to detail. Applicants need to be comfortable with medical calculations, including but not limited to drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and fluid additives. Candidate must also be able to stand for long periods, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds.
