We serve _students ages 5-22 with developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges_.Pay Rate:$100,000-$120,000/yearJob Overview:Are you a Speech and Language Pathologist who wants to join a collaborative and creative team of professionals? If so, Cypress School has a truly unique and rewarding opportunity for you! As a highly trained Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) you will help students deal with expressive, receptive, and pragmatic communication challenges. You will seek to secure a long-term solution to address individual student communication challenges through assessments, IEP goal development, direct individual 1:1 sessions, small group sessions, supporting generalization, and through IEP team consultation and collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Managing a caseload of students and services (5-15 students and 5-25 hours per week)Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify students' communication needsCollaborate with the IEP team to develop meaningful goals and programmingAbility to provide services, reports, and assessments with given timelinesPlan, organize, and conduct therapy sessions, both in individual and small-group settingsWork collaboratively with student's teachers, classroom assistants, families, other specialists, school districts, and administration to creatively support the speech and language needs of the individual studentsMonitor and document student progress, collecting data on goals and providing quarterly progress reportsRequirements:valid California SLP/SLPA license, Masters Certificate, PhD, or equivalentExperience working with children and young adults who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, or other learning, communication, and/or behavioral challengesStrong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with studentsExperience with augmentative communication systems (high and low tech) extremely helpfulExperience with SCERTS Model highly preferred (training opportunities available)TB test, Livescan clearance, and valid driver's licenseFlexibility and the ability to work with students aged 5-22 years oldWillingness to handle and support in crisis situations, with the assistance of school staff when necessaryWhy Join Us?Be part of a passionate and supportive team.Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families.Engage in a dynamic and active work environment.This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young minds while gaining experience in the field of education.Benefits:Medical insurance$500 monthly health insurance allowance and a yearly $1,500 HRA company funded health spending card403(b) retirement plan with up to 5% company matchingScholarship opportunitiesPaid Time Off, 12 paid holidaysYearly anniversary and birthday bonuses _/Benefit exceptions apply and are based on # of hours worked per week _If you're passionate about supporting students through evidence-based practices and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you!Job Type: Full-time Base Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offProfessional development assistanceRetirement plan Work Location: In person
