Branch Support Teller The Branch Support Teller is responsible for training new tellers to ensure consistent branch coverage, compliance, and operational excellence across all supported locations. Providing operational, sales, staffing and performance support to assigned branches to ensure service continuity, compliance, and member experience during staffing shortages. Major duties and essential functions include demonstrating enthusiastic support of Credit Union of Texas's vision, core values, employee creed and long-term objectives. A key component of this is to "deliver an unexpected experience" by consistently providing outstanding service to internal and external members with every interaction. Processing share account and checking account deposits and withdrawals, loan/lease payments, and credit card payments. Negotiating check cashing transactions, processing negotiable instruments (cashier's checks, money orders), and processing credit card cash advances. Identifying member financial needs and recommending an appropriate/progressive credit union product/service solution. Testing new products and services. Delivering ongoing training and skill reinforcement for existing staff. Adapting to multiple branch environments. Exercising due diligence by placing appropriate holds on checks deposited in accordance with Regulation CC and CUTX Funds Availability Policy. Performing job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures. This includes compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control and USA Patriot Act as they apply to the duties of the position. Protecting member information and other sensitive information by maintaining confidentiality while adhering to the credit union's privacy policy. Accepting responsibility for store security by securing keys, combinations, documents, records, and negotiable items. Complying with robbery and hold-up procedures. Other duties necessary to achieve the goals of the credit union: Travel between CUTX Branches. Positions directly supervised: N/A Education: Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 6 months or more related operational experience in financial institution environment or equivalent preferred. Physical activities and requirements of this position include finger dexterity, grasping, talking, repetitive motions, average hearing, average visual abilities, and sedentary work. Working conditions of this position include few, no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions except during construction where wearing a hard hat is required. Mental activities and requirements of this position include reasoning ability, detailed ability, basic mathematical ability, and typical language ability.
