Seasonal Part-Time Summer Positions The City of North Miami Beach has an outstanding summer Aquatic Division program for kids! We're now interviewing for seasonal, part-time summer positions at two of our dynamic aquatic facilities. Important Dates: Aquatics Camp Dates: May 14, 2026 - September 6, 2026 (Applicants must be available to work for the full duration of the program) Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00AM - 7:00PM Tuesday and Thursday 9:00AM 8:30PM Saturday and Sunday 9:00AM 5:00PM Important Information: This position's pre-employment background requirements include fingerprinting and drug screening. Ideal candidates will: Have some experience working with kids Appreciate outdoor activities Have the ability to maintain composure and problem-solve under stress Have a relentlessly positive attitude Love to have fun working with kids and making a difference in our community Pass rigorous background screening process Minimum Qualifications: Shallow Water Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old. Lifeguarding Training with CPR for Professional Rescuer and First Aid (Red Cross Training Only) or Shallow Water Lifeguard Certification with CPR for Professional Rescue and First Aid. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) - Preferred Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of education, training and experience; oral interview(s); background investigation; reference checks; medical evaluation; controlled substance screening. Preference will be given to certain veterans, spouses of veterans, or unmarried widows/widowers of veteran. Proof of veterans' eligibility must be provided at time of application EOE M/F/D/V.
