Electrical Estimator

TekPro Engineering is partnered with a well-established electrical contractor to hire an Electrical Estimator for their Oak Brook IL office. This role supports commercial and industrial construction projects and works closely with project managers and leadership to develop accurate competitive bids. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys the estimating side of construction and wants to be part of a stable team with a long standing presence in the Chicagoland market. Job Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects Review drawings specifications and bid documents to determine project scope Perform material labor and equipment takeoffs Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Work closely with project managers engineers and operations to finalize bids Support preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts Qualifications Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role in electrical construction Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Experience with estimating software and spreadsheets Strong attention to detail organization and time management skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Role Highlights Stable long term opportunity with a respected electrical contractor Consistent pipeline of commercial and industrial work Collaborative office environment with experienced leadership Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Clear path for long term growth and advancement
