Optometrist Full-Time or Part-TimePalmetto Ophthalmology AssociatesLexington, Leesville & Irmo, SCPalmetto Ophthalmology Associates is a growing private practice with three locations in the Midlands of South Carolina. Our team currently includes six ophthalmologists and one optometrist, providing excellent comprehensive medical and surgical eye care to our communities. We are seeking an additional licensed optometrist who aligns with our culture of ethical and patient-centered care. We stress quality patient care above all things. The position offers general optometry work, with a strong medical focus. Position DetailsFull-time or part-time opportunities available No night or weekend hours required Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience Modern clinics with state-of-the-art equipment On-site optical services at all locations ResponsibilitiesPerform routine eye examinations for refractive errors Provide corrective glasses and contact lenses care Conduct comprehensive medical eye examinations, including evaluation and management of: Cataracts Diabetic eye disease Glaucoma Macular degeneration Manage post-operative cataract patients in coordination with ophthalmologists Co-manage patients with ophthalmology as appropriate Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Provide compassionate, patient-centered care QualificationsDoctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution Active (or eligible) South Carolina optometry license Comfort with routine and medically-focused optometry work Ability to follow and medically manage glaucoma is a plus Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ethical standards Ability to work as part of a team is critical Why Join Palmetto Ophthalmology Associates?Growing private practice with a collaborative MD/OD model Established team of six ophthalmologists and one optometrist Balanced mix of refractive and medical optometry Integrated care model with ophthalmology, optical shops, and advanced technology Excellent work-life balance with no weekend hours Supportive, team-oriented environment Pay: $107,795.73 - $155,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person by Jobble
