Fundraising Coordinator Affordable Homes & Communities (AHC) is a mission-driven, non-profit organization committed to developing affordable, workforce, and mixed-income rental housing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. With a resident-centric approach, we manage over 8,800 apartments in 56 communities, providing educational programs and social services through our Resident Services team. The Community Relations department provides fundraising and communications services for AHC and its subsidiaries, AHC Greater Baltimore. The Department manages all aspects of AHC's fundraising program including major donors, direct mail appeals, corporate contributions, and government and foundation grants. Our fundraising supports all AHC projects and our Resident Services, so it can provide high-quality on-site educational programs and social services for residents living in AHC's affordable rental housing communities. The Fundraising Coordinator plays a key role supporting AHC's Fundraising team to grow unrestricted funding in support of our Resident Services initiatives. This position will provide daily database assistance and project support to the Community Relations team. The position reports to the Senior Director of Fundraising. Responsibilities Maintains the AHC fundraising database (Salsa) to accurately enter gifts, maintain detailed donor records, create data queries and list building, produce venue reports, and continue best practices for data integrity. Maintains the AHC grant database (Instrumentl), application calendar, tracking deadlines for proposals, reports, and LOIs. Manages the Fundraising team's activities and timelines via project management software (Monday.com) Manage the production of printed mail appeals. This includes serving as project contact for print/mail shop vendors and overseeing the creation of the data file and approval of data file processing reports, prints proofs, data personalization proofs, postage reports, assembly and mail of each fundraising letter. Collaborates with the Communications team to implement email appeals and integrated social media posts. This may include writing, formatting email layouts, and following up with freelance graphic designers. Collaborates with Volunteer Coordinator to manage promotion and receipt of In-Kind donations. Develops and maintains regular performance reporting and revenue analysis for AHC's fundraising efforts. Produces all donor acknowledgement letters in a timely manner. Writes and formats online donation forms in the fundraising platform (Salsa). Performs prospect research to identify and evaluate donor prospects and prepares detailed donor profiles and reports. Implements and manages AHC's presence and participation in special fundraising campaigns (Giving Tuesday) and workplace giving platforms (Benevity, CFC, etc.) Supports the Community Relations team in the planning and execution of fundraising and donor-related events and activities as needed. All AHC staff are expected to work collaboratively and willingly when assigned tasks that may be outside the scope of their regular duties. Prepare accurate seasonal appeal reports for individual, corporate, and grant revenue. Create and use tracking codes to appeal success and ensure continuous improvement. Communicate daily fundraising action deadlines by accurately managing donor portfolios/moves management schedule. Qualifications Detailed oriented. Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks/requests. Experience in donor engagement or customer service. Strong data management and reporting skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. General computer skills that aid in the learning of new software tools, such as fundraising databases and email messaging. Experience in special events and digital communications is a plus. AHC has a Hybrid Work Schedule with staff working onsite on our core days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Staff may work remotely on Wednesday and Friday.
