Job Description

Estimating Coordinator The primary function(s) of the Estimating Coordinator is to provide corporate class household goods estimates to Beltmann national account customers. The role will retrieve and examine survey results, compare survey results to information gathered from transferees and/or account contacts (i.e. intro call forms, move authorizations, client e-mails), construct an accurate cost estimate based on client specific contract rates, and send and receive authorization for the estimate from clients. Growing and progressive knowledge of governing tariffs and corporate contract carriage agreements are required for this role. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Retrieving survey results from surveying agents Examining survey results to ensure surveyor accuracy Follow-up with surveying agents with relevant questions to ensure all goods and services required are accounted for Comparing survey results to intro call forms and client move authorizations Selecting correct estimating tools to be used (client and/or state specific, intra/local) Capturing all special services/handling required and ensure pricing accuracy for those services in the estimates Sending estimates to clients or transferees Receiving authorization for move estimate Placing final estimate in move file This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Must be cross-trained in other positions and is authorized to make decisions and take action to improve processes, solve problems, and resolve issues. Bachelor's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or university; and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in the use of standard software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
