Human Resources Coordinator The Psychiatric Institute of Washington provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 130 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the HR Generalists and HR Director to drive PIW's mission and departmental goals forward. In this dynamic role, you'll be hands-on with the recruiting and onboarding experiencefrom coordinating background and reference checks to welcoming new hires during orientation. You'll help ensure every team member starts their journey on the right foot. You'll also maintain accurate employee records, manage HRIS data entry, and serve as the go-to resource for employee questionsmaking you a vital connection point across the organization. Job Duties: Support recruitment and onboarding by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, attending hiring events, assisting with job fairs, and coordinating all pre-employment requirements. Track candidate progress and manage communication leading up to new hire orientation. Prepare and facilitate new hire orientation, including organizing materials, coordinating presenters, delivering the HR segment, and arranging supplies/catering. Process HRIS transactions such as hires, promotions, leaves, and terminations; run and distribute Lawson/RAS reports; and process tuition reimbursement payments. Maintain compliance and personnel records, including completing I-9s, managing documentation audits, preparing files, and supporting external agency and Joint Commission reviews. Track and update employee licenses, certifications, and mandatory trainings, serving as a HealthStream Administrator. Administer employee absences, including workers' compensation inquiries, FMLA/leave notifications, and updating status changes. Support employee engagement and service excellence efforts, including committee participation, retention activities, newsletter contributions, and serving as a primary HR contact.
