Transportation Pricing Analyst - Entry Level (3PL / Brokerage) The Entry-Level Transportation Pricing Analyst supports the pricing team by gathering data, preparing cost analyses, and helping develop competitive rate proposals across truckload, LTL, intermodal, and other transportation modes. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with strong analytical skills and an interest in transportation, logistics, or supply chain. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing pricing for spot quotes, customer bids, and contract opportunities Prepare basic analyses using historical shipment data and market benchmarks Support the completion of customer RFPs and bid packages Work with procurement and operations teams to gather carrier cost information Help maintain pricing databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools Monitor key cost factors such as fuel trends and accessorial charges Build simple lane-level cost comparisons and scenario worksheets Support post-bid reviews to assess actual cost vs. projected pricing Provide general pricing and market support to the sales team Required Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling) Interest in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations Ability to work with data and present findings clearly Preferred Qualifications Internship or project experience in logistics, analytics, or data modeling Exposure to 3PL, freight brokerage, or transportation concepts Familiarity with market indexes or transportation cost drivers Experience with TMS or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus but not required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Quote accuracy Quote turnaround time Contribution to bid and pricing support Data quality and completeness Growth in analytical ability and process efficiency Core Competencies Data-driven thinking Strong attention to detail Curiosity and willingness to learn Collaboration and communication Basic financial and analytical acumen Benefits of Working with Us: Competitive base salary Opportunities for advancement within a growing national organization Collaborative, energetic team culture Full suite of benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) MODE Global is the 5th largest truckload broker and largest non-asset intermodal provider in North America.
