POSITION SUMMARY: This role is open due to a retirement! The Manufacturing Buyer will create and process purchase orders to provide purchased materials and components, tooling and services to the machining, production and assembly groups of Entrust Manufacturing Technologies, Inc.'s Unisig division. This position will also identify material status and shortages and expedite material and orders to accommodate the changing sales and production schedule utilizing the ERP system. Strong attention to detail, ability to remain focused and work with accuracy, speed, and efficiency are needed to be successful in this role. An interest in mechanical products is helpful as we encourage our employees to understand what they are buying to make better decisions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Works directly with vendors and builds positive partner relationshipsWorks cross-departmentally with engineering and production planning to determine priorities and re-align delivery needsPurchases routine as well as complex, unique or high dollar value requirements with a focus on quality, price and timely delivery at the direction of the Procurement SupervisorExpedites and coordinates delivery of materials or services, communicating any supply issues which may pose a risk or impact on manufacturing, assembly or delivery deadlineIdentifies vendors based on engineering needs and research alternatives when part shortages delay deliveryEnters, updates, and monitors documentation and systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of dataFit UNISIG Core Values: Driven to perform; Solve problems, don't create them; Strong individual who values a team; Desire to find what's next; Committed to detail and consistencyAll other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Associate's degree in purchasing or supply chain, and interest in a complex manufacturing environment, plus 2 years in a precision manufacturing purchasing capacityProficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word with ERP / MRP experienceExcellent work ethic and the ability to work self-directedPreference given to candidates with manufacturing buying experienceOrganized thought process with a very high attention to detailProfessional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrityFit UNISIG Core Values: Driven to perform; Solve problems, don't create them; Strong individual who values a team; Desire to find what's next; Committed to detail and consistency.
