Lead Research Analyst - Team Lead - FBI Name Check Program Job Locations US-WV-Clarksburg | US-VA-Winchester ID 2026-2720 Category Business Operations Type Full Time Overview Location: Winchester, VA or Clarksburg, WV (on-site at FBI facilities) Clearance: Active Top Secret We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Research Analyst to support the FBI's National Name Check Program (NNCP). In this mission-critical role, you will apply investigative, analytical, and research expertise to review subject information, identify relevant data, and prepare reports that support federal vetting and security determinations. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in structured research environments, demonstrate sound judgment, and are committed to upholding the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in national security operations Responsibilities Conduct in-depth name check research and analysis in accordance with NNCP policies and procedures. Review, verify, and interpret subject identifiers and case materials from multiple data sources. Prepare concise, accurate, and comprehensive reports for submission to federal stakeholders. Ensure all work meets established quality, timeliness, and performance metrics. Collaborate with peers, quality control reviewers, and management to resolve discrepancies and maintain consistency across analytical products. Contribute to workflow improvement, knowledge sharing, and process efficiency within the research team. Protect sensitive information in compliance with federal security and privacy requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, intelligence studies, political science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Minimum of 3 or more years of analytical or administrative experience, preferably in a federal or law enforcement environment. Strong research and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear findings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce structured, high-quality reports. Proven attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of case information. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-tempo, mission-driven setting. Active Top Secret security clearance.
