Job Summary: The Assistant Vice President(AVP), Individual Givingis a senior fundraising leader responsible for driving transformational philanthropy, overseeing a high-performing regional team of frontline fundraisersfocused onsecuringmid-level and major gifts, and managing a personal portfolio ofkeymajor gift prospects.This roleis responsible fordriving donor acquisition, engagement, and pipeline development to support portfolios and sustained revenue growth.Thisleader plays an essential rolein advancing a five-year,$1 billioncomprehensive campaign. Reporting to the Vice President, Individual Giving, the AVP ensures alignment with the organization'sstrategicplan, strengthens national and international fundraising strategies, and cultivates a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability across the team. Main Responsibilities: Lead aregionally basedfrontline teamof 9-10 professionalsfocused on mid-level and majorgiftsdonors to ensure revenue goals. Providestrategic direction, performance management, and professional development forthe frontlineteam while managing asmallportfolio of prospects. Serve as a strategic advisor to the VP, Individual Giving, providing insights on regional fundraising performance, donorengagementand opportunities for growth. Partner with the Prospect Management and Research team to review andoptimizedonor portfolios quarterly, ensuringstrategicalignment with organizational priorities and donor capacity. Collaborateclosely with senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders,toensurecompelling cases for support and integrated fundraising strategies. Apply data analytics and philanthropic trends to evaluateperformance anddrive fundraisingstrategy. Partner with internal teams-includingexecutive and regional leadership,prospect research, marketing-communications, donor relations, finance, and legal-to execute coordinated, donor-centered fundraising initiatives. Work cross-functionally with annual fund, direct marketing, executive directors, and peer-to-peer teams to ensure a seamless donor experience and support giving progression. Use data analytics and philanthropic trends to increase revenue, evaluate portfolio performance, and inform fundraising strategies. Assistinthedevelopmentand implementation of structured stewardship programs in collaboration with Donor Relations to enhance donor retention and deepen engagement. Lead by example, developing the skills and success of direct reports while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture. Personally manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, guiding them through all stages of the donor lifecycle. What we're Looking For: 10 years of demonstrated and relevant fundraising experience (including 6 years ofdirectteam leadership and supervision) with advanced understanding of prospect qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Record of leadership and accomplishment in fundraising including campaign planning and execution, pipeline development, andrevenue generation across multiple marketsat the major giftsand mid-level. Able to assess staff talent, mentor, and train others toward a shared vision,providingstrategic guidance to ensure staff meet their designated revenue and activity goals. Proven ability to manage broad and technical fundraising campaigns, collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers to secure individual gifts. Demonstrated success in coaching staff to higher levels of gift closure and performance and guiding leadership staff through portfolio management, holding reporting and non-reporting staff accountable toidentifiedrevenue and donor targets. Experience developing and monitoring budgets andtargets,as well asassessing and adjusting team portfolios to ensure goals are met. Proven nonprofit leadership experience with increasing responsibility, successfully driving5,6and 7-figure gifts. Advanced CRMexpertise,leveragingdata analytics to drive decision-making and train teams on data-driven fundraising strategies. Extensive experience managing geographically dispersed teams, in remote and hybrid environments, overseeing both revenue generation and project execution. Track recordof implementing innovative fundraising strategies that drive engagement and revenue growth. Strong ability to perform under pressure, handle criticism professionally, and consistently meet fundraising commitments. Exceptional project management, strategic planning, and negotiation skills to drive effective resource allocation andoptimizefundraising outcomes. Field-based role requiring 30%+ travel, including events, training, regional meetings, and organizational gatherings. Location Requirements Remote - Flexible Location Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships. Compensation | Benefits: The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $175,000-185,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate'sgeographic location, consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
