Principal Specialist, Contracts Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist, Contracts in the Advanced Technology Sub Business Unit (SBU) to join our Airborne Spectrum Dominance Contracts team. The Advanced Technology SBU of Raytheon acts as the front end of the business developing the next generation of technologies that will defend our troops and make the world a safer place. Our technologies span from Electro-Optic (EO) to Radio Frequency (RF) spectrums. The charter of the AT/ASD business is to identify and develop new and leading-edge capabilities, leveraging Raytheon's key technologies, creating trusted, innovating solutions to address local and world-wide problems. As a Principal Specialist, Contracts, you'll have the opportunity to support dynamic contracts with numerous internal and external customers as a critical partner with the Program and Proposal Management Offices (PMO). The contracts range from small trade studies to Development programs. This position will be supporting both classified and unclassified contracts. Success in this position is defined as being a team player working with your assigned Program Teams in support of the Raytheon mission. Enablers for success include being able to effectively multitask; learn; and demonstrate good communication skills to be able to interface with all levels of internal and external customers. What You Will Do: Collaborate with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal be critical member of the PMO Own contract management/administration actions on proposal and contracts across the acquisition life cycle Develop and respond to Request for Proposals (RFP) / Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreements, and other business agreements Manage these contract types: Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Firm Fixed Price - Level of Effort (FFP-LOE), and Other Transaction Agreements (OTA) Work with local DCMA/DCAA on government contracts Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience Experience working in Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement, Estimating/Pricing, and / or Finance Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance What We Offer: Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
