Job Description

Material Handler Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Material Handler who will be responsible for collaborating with the Supply Chain Department to receive, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products within the business. Primary Job Duties: Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas. Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Receives in materials and items for put away to storage or other designated bin locations. Marks materials with identifying information Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to ERP systems Issues raw materials (Tube, Sheet, Bar) to work orders and jobs for production. Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer. Cleans warehouse area and other duties as required and assigned. Secondary Duties Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Prepares parcels for mailing. Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Job Requirements: High School diploma or G.E.D. Minimum 6 months of related experience in Parts Manufacturing or Warehouse Operations. Minimum 6 months of using ERP (business software) similar to Epicor or Global Shop for inventory transactions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with occasional variables. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Forklift Experience preferred but not required.
