Material Handler (Nights)

About the Job The Houston branch of Openwork has partnered with a well-established HVAC Manufacturer/Supplier to add a Material Handler to their team! RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, sales representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Loading and unloading of incoming containers and outgoing truckload shipments including parts, compressors, and systems. Tagging parts and compressors to company requirements. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices. REQUIREMENTS:2+ years of sit down forklift experience. Experience operating large forklifts is a huge plus. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to use power and hand tools. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent mechanical skills. MUST be wiling to consent to background check and drug screen. MUST be willing to work indoors and outdoors. Our client is looking for a team-player, with a great attitude who is eager to learn and grow. PAY:Up to $22.00 per hour, based on experience - PM Shift. SCHEDULE:2:45pm - 3:45am. 30 minute lunch. Ability to work overtime as needed. Contract to hire position. PPE REQUIRED:Full ankle support safety toe shoes (Can be steel or composite). All other PPE provided.
