Job Description

Receiving And Material Handler The Receiving and Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, and products in accordance with company standards. This role ensures materials are accurately received, properly stored, and efficiently delivered to production areas or shipping as needed. Key Responsibilities Receiving Unload incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders, packing lists, or invoices. Inspect incoming materials for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality compliance. Record and report damaged or missing items. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or ERP systems. Label and store materials in designated locations to ensure traceability. Assist with regular cycle counts and full inventory audits. Material Handling Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. Stage materials for production and ensure timely delivery to workstations. Maintain proper documentation of material movement and transactions. Safety and Housekeeping Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: 13 years of experience in warehouse, receiving, or material handling preferred. Skills: Basic computer and inventory software proficiency (e.g, NetSuite). Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and material labels. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely. Certifications: Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire. Working Conditions Work performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to moderate noise, moving equipment, and temperature variations. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
