DESCRIPTION Under supervision, perform a variety of operations involved in driving and parking vehicles for guests. The duties includes and are not limited to maintaining excellent customer service standards; issuing ticket receipts after inspecting and documenting any prior vehicle damage; retrieving vehicles in a timely manner; collecting and securing cash and issue receipts; writing down vehicle information and location on valet ticket; tagging and maintaining keys; and performing other duties as assigned. Ensures that appropriate service standards are maintained with all front-line staff. Ensures that visitor issues are resolved to meet the service expectations of UC San Diego Health. Performs additional duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/ procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program. Relevant experience required. Must be able to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Strong customer service skills. Skills, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be willing to work various times and locations based on business needs. Must be willing to work in La Jolla and Hillcrest. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $44,516 - $57,545 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $21.32 - $27.56 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
