OverviewThe Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs (OAFA) serves as the central administrative hub supporting the educational mission of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM). OAFA oversees the full spectrum of academic operations for both predoctoral and postdoctoral dental education, encompassing curriculum development and administration, faculty development and calibration, accreditation compliance, student academic progress oversight, and advanced/graduate education program oversight. OAFA administers over 80 courses across didactic, rotation, workshop, and seminar formats; supports all the course directors; manages evaluations for over 180 clinical faculty; and coordinates student academic progress for all DMD candidates. The office also stewards faculty professional development through robust programming that serves all faculty annually, manages postdoctoral specialty programs across 12 advanced education disciplines, and leads institutional compliance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). OAFA's work directly enables TUSDM to fulfill its commitment to excellence in dental education and continuous improvement in service to students, faculty, and the broader oral health community.What You'll DoThe Senior Administrative Coordinator serves as a key operational leader within the Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs, providing advanced administrative, programmatic, and project management support across a broad portfolio of academic and institutional functions. This position plays a central role in ensuring the smooth execution of OAFA's academic programs, accreditation activities, curriculum administration, and executive operations. The Senior Administrative Coordinator exercises considerable independent judgment, leads complex cross-functional initiatives, and serves as the primary liaison between OAFA and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders-including faculty, students, academic departments, university offices, and accrediting bodies. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic academic environment.What We're Looking ForBasic Requirements: Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a High School diploma and 5 years of experience. Microsoft Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Science or related areas. Pay Range Minimum $30.00, Midpoint $35.70, Maximum $41.40Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
