Job Responsibilities The Trade Compliance FTA Analyst is responsible for managing Magna Seating's Free Trade Agreement (FTA) processes, including supplier solicitation, product qualification, broker interface, and internal training. This role supports duty savings initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable trade regulations. This position supports Magna Seating's Trade Compliance function and works closely with Customs Brokers, Finance, and division teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage end-to-end FTA processes (e.g., USMCA and other applicable FTAs) Solicit, validate, and maintain supplier origin documentation Analyze Bills of Material (BOMs) and finished goods to determine FTA qualification Interface with Customs Brokers to ensure accurate FTA claims on entries Respond to customer FTA and origin requests Provide internal training and guidance on FTA requirements Support audits and compliance reviews related to FTA qualification Manages the global marketing staff in the performance of their duties and has an active role mentoring and coaching role in their development; conducts performance reviews and succession planning activities Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (Group Office) Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System) Ensure employees work in the manner consistent with the organizations established objectives and targets utilizing protective equipment, devices, measures, and procedures as promulgated by state and federal regulations. Establish clear goals for workplace health and safety. Complete safety talks, safety meetings, and required training occur, as defined. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or an Operations Management related field strongly preferred. Experience/Special Knowledge/Skills 15 years of experience in Trade Compliance, FTA qualification, or Customs Brokerage Working knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and Rules of Origin Strong analytical and documentation skills Experience working with cross functional teams (Purchasing, Costing, Sales, Trade) Awareness, Unity, Empowerment At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
