People Project Specialist (Organizational Effectiveness) Salary: Location dependent (see benefits section) Job Type: Permanent, full-time hours Location: Hybrid working opportunity from the following IB (International Baccalaureate) Global Centers: The Hague (Netherlands), Washington DC (US) or Cardiff (UK). Approximately one day per fortnight onsite, expectation to flex in line with business needs. About the Job The People Project Specialist is part of the People Experience Team within the Global People (HR) Team, reporting into the Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in embedding IB's culture by contributing to management of global People (HR) projects/initiatives that drive cultural transformation and integrate best practices. It aligns policies, governance, and change management with our People Strategy, fostering stakeholder engagement, and delivering scalable, data-driven solutions to actively influence organizational transformation and champion culture change. The role will support a range of global People Experience and Organizational Effectiveness initiatives, for example but not limited to: Performance Management supporting the design, delivery, and adoption of performance frameworks and processes that enable high performance and development. Recognition contributing to global recognition initiatives that reinforce desired behaviors, values, and cultural outcomes. Listening & Employee Engagement supporting employee listening and engagement activities and translating insights into actions that enhance the employee experience. Responsibilities Project Management: Can manage people experience initiatives from initial planning through delivery, setting workplans, monitoring progress against milestones, proactively managing risks and issues, and escalating with clear recommendations. Key initiatives supported will primarily focus on Performance Management, Recognition, and Listening / Employee Engagement programs, with scope to adapt as priorities evolve, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and People Experience team priorities across a global context. Ongoing Initiatives Management: Take end-to-end responsibility for the day-to-day management and effective execution of global People Experience initiatives, supporting consistent delivery while remaining responsive to local needs. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve employee experience, and scale solutions to support evolving organizational and business requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively manage stakeholder relationships across the global People team, business units, and key partners. Shape communications, synthesize diverse input, address issues, and drive alignment, engagement, and sustained support for People Experience and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Proactively research best practices and analyze insights and data from employee listening, performance, and engagement sources to recommend targeted enhancements. Focus on improving process effectiveness, supporting adoption, and strengthening the overall People Experience across the organization. Reporting & Analytics: Own the development and ongoing maintenance of dashboards and status reporting for People Experience initiatives. Deliver actionable insights, track key metrics (e.g. engagement, participation, adoption), and enable data-driven decision-making for leaders and stakeholders. Compliance & Governance: Ensure People Experience and organizational effectiveness initiatives adhere to organizational frameworks, governance standards, and change management protocols. Flag risks, dependencies, and issues, and recommend mitigations as needed to support effective and compliant delivery. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Adapt established frameworks and methodologies, with guidance from the manager as needed, to develop practical and scalable solutions in ambiguous or evolving situations. Apply sound judgment to balance competing priorities, business needs, employee experience considerations, and risk. Support the establishment of clear governance and decision-making routines for projects and workstreams. Qualifications Possession of an equivalent qualification to a Bachelor's degree is desirable. Proven ability to deliver People (HR) initiatives in a global or matrix organizational context, with a focus on People Experience and organizational effectiveness. Demonstrated passion for understanding and applying regional organizational effectiveness practices in a global context, with the ability to adapt approaches to reflect cultural differences. Thorough understanding of People (HR) principles, including People projects, employee engagement, and change management concepts. Understanding of union collective consultation and Works Council processes. Experience working with union representatives and Works Councils is highly desirable. Project management experience with excellent communication and organizational abilities, alongside strong planning, risk management, and analytical storytelling skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to gather and analyze insights to produce clear, high?quality documents and impactful presentations aligned with People Strategy. Collaborative, adaptable, pragmatic, and solution?oriented, with strong attention to detail, cultural awareness, and the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels. Benefits In addition to your salary, we offer an attractive range of regional benefits including: For Netherlands employees: Annual Salary in the region of EUR 55,471 - 69,339 (negotiable dependent on experience). 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, plus opportunity to purchase up to 5 days of leave each year. Flexible benefits allowance equivalent to 1.5% of Annual Salary to spend on benefits or as addition to salary. Flexible working (core hours are 10am-3.30pm), 40 hours per week. Bicycle scheme. For US employees: Annual Salary in the region of USD 72,526 - 90,389 (negotiable dependent on experience).
