Security Clearance: Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Responsibilities Perform on-site logistics support at the waterfront, ensuring Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products provided to the ships in conjunction with modernization, are complete and correct. Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products. Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordinating and provisioning and minimizing obsolescence. Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts. Perform system lifecycle cost analysis and develop component studies. Protect and control proprietary materials. Support the development of training materials and technical manuals. Monitor industry standards, trends, and practices to identify developments in logistics planning and execution. Maintain logistics records in accordance with Government policy. Write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes. Experience 10 years of experience providing logistics support to NAVSEA programs. Experience supervising medium to large teams. Familiarity with Navy logistics systems such as HIS Haystack, MBPS, NDE, and MRDB. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business or related field or relevant direct military experience in lieu of degree.
