Education Requirements An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field. Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Certifications Required Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
