The Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering team is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary group dedicated to rapidly providing tailored solutions for government and international clients. As a Software Integration & Testing (I&T) Engineer, you will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to design, integrate, and test advanced space-based and terrestrial applications. Your role will involve close cooperation with colleagues within ALG and external partners to ensure our systems exceed customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include: Developing test algorithms, scripts, automation, and calibration routines for complex systems. Analyzing software test data and providing constructive feedback to cross-functional teams to enhance product performance. Architecting, designing, and validating the software tooling necessary for verifying complex hardware systems. Preparing thorough reports on test results, performance metrics, and effectively communicating issues with developers and management. Managing test anomalies, defects, and employing continuous improvement practices within a high-rate production environment. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in software development and test automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Docker, and Rust on Linux. Experience in building and optimizing complex hardware and software integration test systems. Preferred candidates will have: A Master's or PhD in a related field. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively between teams. Experience with compliance standards relevant to aerospace or military applications. A demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems. Security Clearance: This position requires that candidates be US Citizens and able to obtain and maintain a US Government TS/SCI security clearance.
