Job Description Overview Join our dynamic and growing Technical Accounting team at Oracle as a Senior Technical Accounting Leader. In this influential role, you will immerse yourself in transaction details by reviewing contracts and working collaboratively with crucial business partners, including our US and International Accounting teams. Leverage your knowledge of accounting guidance to identify key accounting challenges and recommend crucial accounting and disclosure requirements for complex, non-routine transactions. Your effective communication skills will be vital in keeping key stakeholders across Corporate Development, Integration, Legal, Tax, and the wider Finance organization informed about the accounting and business implications of these transactions. Exceptional written communication skills are essential, as your main output will often be a technical accounting memo. This role also involves engaging in discussions with Oracle's external auditors regarding technical accounting issues. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Technical Accounting. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research on technical accounting issues. Document findings in comprehensive technical accounting memos. Support the external auditor's review and audit of technical accounting positions. Perform due diligence procedures and prepare relevant documentation for M&A activities. Develop procedures related to purchase accounting, including documentation of key technical issues and coordination with third-party valuation experts. Lead or participate in special projects as required. Required Skills & Experience At least 5 years of experience in public accounting. A minimum of 8 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry roles. Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 810, ASC 321, and ASC 323. Strong critical thinking skills to assess various accounting implications and solutions. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with external parties to gather relevant information and articulate accounting conclusions. Excellent written communication skills with experience in drafting technical accounting memos. Experience engaging with external auditors on technical accounting topics. CPA designation is highly preferred. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is from $97,500 to $199,500 per annum, with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
