Fire Alarm Sales Representative

Description EPS Security is looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Fire Alarm Sales Representative in the Grand Rapids office. This person will work directly with electrical contractors in the sale of our fire and security alarm systems. Duties include but not limited to: Monitor and participate in bid market jobs. Establish and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Support electrical contractors for the implementation of new projects related to life safety and security systems. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements as related to design and functionality of equipment. Prepare fire alarm design builds. Review the job layout with Project Managers or technicians prior to installation. Complete take-off/bid drawings for bidding projects and owner direct work, to then complete a quotation to submit for a project. Visiting sites which currently have work on going and assist with solutions to help contractors on completing the fire alarm installation Requirements Qualified candidates will possess: Experience in the fire alarm security industry with competency in layout of fire alarm systems and applications is preferred but not required Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Strong negotiation skills Excellent oral, written and presentation skills Knowledge of fire and building codes such as NFPA, UL, FM, ADA and other related codes NICET certifications are preferred but not required
