Candidates must have infusion center experience. Experience in inpatient and outpatient oncology is preferred. Daily caseload is 70 patients with a patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates must have experience with CBCT, kV, and mV imaging. Experience with external beam therapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy is required. Skills include the administration of chemotherapy and care/management of ports. The role involves patient/family education and support. Management and disposal of cytotoxic spills is essential. IV push administration of chemotherapy and monitoring of chemotherapy is also required. Starting and maintaining IVs, PICC line care, and infusion pump management are essential skills. Candidates must recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. The facility emphasizes radiation safety practices.
