PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide support to the claims staff and perform various office tasks depending on the client program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and enter new claims into the claims management system. Input and review notes/diaries in the claims management system as instructed. Process payments efficiently. Manage mail, filing, faxing, and photocopying tasks. Review and prepare letters, reports, and forms for communication. Handle telephone calls, schedule medical appointments, and provide customer service as necessary. Engage in additional projects as assigned, including preparing and distributing reports. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: May perform other duties as assigned. Support the organization's quality programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Six months of clerical or customer service experience or a combination of education and experience required. Skills & Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills PC literate, proficient in Microsoft Office products Strong organizational abilities Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies WORK ENVIRONMENT: Consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations when applicable. Mental: Strong conceptual thinking with excellent judgment and discretion; capacity to manage work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines. Physical: Proficient in computer keyboarding, with occasional travel as needed. Auditory/Visual: Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities. NOTE: Credit security clearance is required for this position and will be verified via a background credit check.
