Job Summary and Qualifications Shift: 7pm-7am In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized nursing care related to IV therapy and enteral nutrition to ensure optimal comfort and health for patients. You'll utilize the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to address vascular access needs and deliver education to patients and their families, following medically prescribed interventions. Your responsibilities will include performing enteral feeding tube placements using advanced electronic systems, preparing patients per manufacturer guidelines, and adhering to evidence-based practices in line with Mission policies. What qualifications you will need: Required Experience: Specialized experience in vascular access for patients with challenging venous access. Knowledge and experience in central venous catheter care and maintenance. Competence in troubleshooting catheter occlusions and administering medical interventions. PICC insertion skills using real-time ultrasound. Capacity to insert midline catheters in both adult and pediatric populations. Ability to provide vascular access services in various community settings as needed. Training in troubleshooting enteral feeding tube issues. Preferred Experience: Background in data collection and measuring outcomes for vascular access and enteral feeding procedures. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Must enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months and secure a BSN within 4 years of the hire date. Previous BSN commitment letters may be honored. Preferred Education: Master’s degree in nursing or completion of a Cortrak training course for enteral feeding tube insertion. Required License: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC license eligibility may apply. Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
