The Senior IT Procurement Specialist - Software Renewals Management will lead the efforts of managing software renewal operations across Humana's enterprise. In this pivotal role, you will address complex challenges, ensuring software renewals are conducted efficiently and punctually. In this position, you will guide and support team members in daily tasks related to software renewals. Collaborating with critical stakeholders, you will align business objectives with compliance needs, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and engage in strategic planning and process enhancement. Your expert insights will ensure that supplier compliance and performance align with our organizational goals and cost-saving strategies. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on policies, standards, and procedures that support IT strategies. Maintain a thorough renewal calendar and monitor renewal progress until completion. Delegate software renewal responsibilities to team members within the IT Procurement & Supplier Management department. Review software contracts to ensure licenses are properly documented and covered. Analyze software expenses in search of cost-saving opportunities to enhance ROI. Negotiate with suppliers to attain optimal terms, pricing, and compliance. Research and suggest strategies for supplier optimization. Evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, goals, risks, and financial stability. Collaborate across departments to ensure procurement aligns with company strategies. Conduct research, gather data, and use reporting tools to streamline information delivery. Comply with internal procurement policies and external regulations. Apply independent judgment to resolve complex issues relating to job responsibilities. Put your skills to work and make a significant impact! Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or IT. 8+ years of experience in IT systems and/or software procurement. 2+ years of experience leading projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to make informed decisions. Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with a focus on process improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engagement at all organizational levels. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to adapt and learn new skills as needed. Preferred Skills Business analysis skills to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals. Additional Information This position reports directly to an Associate Director of Software Renewals. It emphasizes individual contribution without managerial responsibilities. This role is fully remote, though occasional travel to Humana's offices may be required for meetings or training. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Pay may vary based on location and individual qualifications. $115,200 - $158,400 per year This position also includes eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
