Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse - Special Procedures, you will work under the direction of physicians and the Imaging Manager to support patients in the radiology department. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver outstanding patient care and facilitate efficient diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. What you will do: Deliver direct nursing care to radiology patients, including conscious sedation and medication administration. Evaluate patient conditions before, during, and after procedures; monitor for changes and communicate with physicians. Administer prescribed medications, including narcotics, while maintaining accurate medical records. Provide post-procedure care and effectively communicate patient status to receiving units. Ensure readiness and functionality of emergency equipment and medication supplies. Respond promptly to calls from Radiology and manage coverage across multiple areas. Assist with procedures requiring nursing support, including Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests. Demonstrate competency with all relevant equipment and adhere to medication management protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department's goals. Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment. NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment. Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate Degree in Nursing. At least one year of direct patient care experience, preferably in a Critical Care or Emergency Room setting. Preferred: 2 years of experience in Critical Care, Special Procedures Radiology, or administering Conscious Sedation.
