Description The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos is seeking an experienced Secret cleared Network Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and its infrastructure. In this mission, we aim to field and operate the customer's Digital Infrastructure, ensuring robust network performance and reliability. The Network Engineer will engage in daily operations and long-term strategies for the enhancement of complex systems. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this role: Provide expert Network Engineering support for the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of a rapidly evolving network architecture. Develop and review engineering documentation for network infrastructure, covering on-premise and cloud systems including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud networking elements. Diagnose and resolve network issues in an Agile manner to ensure optimal operation and performance. Act as the primary resource for hybrid SD-WAN deployments while collaborating within a specialized and diverse technical team. Serve as a point of escalation for the network and security operation center (NSOC) related to network issues and the onboarding of vendors/clients. Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions. Provide updates to stakeholders regarding ongoing efforts and potential challenges. Participate in cross-discipline training and mentoring activities with fellow engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development. Basic Qualifications: BS in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 8+ years. Active and current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance. Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8140 Intermediate certification). Microsoft Expertise: Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals. Network Proficiency: Proven experience in campus/enterprise network design, implementation, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting. Technical Skills: Proficient in RHEL integration and managing network systems, including troubleshooting ISP connectivity issues. Customer Interaction: Skilled in using MS Office/M365 applications and effectively collaborating with customers. Data Handling: Experience managing sensitive data for government or commercial entities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Juniper SD-WAN and proficiency in network automation. Juniper Certified or Cisco Certified (CCNP EI). General Linux administration experience. Familiarity with various virtualization technologies. Knowledge of ITIL Change & Configuration Management best practices. IAT Level III Certified and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
