This part-time role, generally requiring 4-8 hours per week, is perfect for a seasoned financial professional, such as a retired or semi-retired executive, who can offer invaluable guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to facilitate the company's rapid scaling. You will play a key role in advising the team on capital-raising strategies, including venture funding rounds and investor relations. Your expertise will also be crucial in ensuring the company is prepared for an IPO, addressing compliance, governance, and financial reporting best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record as a CFO or senior finance executive in a technology startup or high-growth company, with direct experience in at least one successful IPO. Proficiency in financial strategy, fundraising, and operations scaling within a fast-paced environment is essential. A deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial modeling, and relevant financial tools is also required. This role involves mentoring internal finance team members and participating in board or executive meetings. Excellent communication skills are necessary to articulate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is necessary, with an MBA or CPA being preferred.
