Duration: 24 months contractShift: 1st shift - 6:00 AM to 2:00 PMInterview: Teams interview - 1 hourSpecial Requirement: Metatarsal shoes required on Day 1Top 3 SkillsetsTroubleshootingHand SolderingPLC Programming, Robotics (Fanuc Robotics experience preferred)Job DescriptionProvides support for and/or assistance with products or engineering processes. Technicians at this level typically perform appropriate tests using existing procedures for process control and failure analysis. Provides routine analysis for materials, manufacturing processes, and methods; assists with problem identification and resolution, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, reliability analysis, and verification/validation test plan development. Provides guidance on test procedures to engineers and support personnel.Essential Job FunctionsProvide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues pertaining to assembly tools, equipment, processes, and products during manufacturing.Take initiative to resolve issues quickly and effectively with little or no supervision.Support installation, setup, wiring, programming, documentation, training, and maintenance of assembly and automation equipment (fixtures, torque tools, conveyor lines, PLCs, robots, etc.).Create/update MWI's and JDAAT programs, including labeling and final packaging.Understand programmable logic controllers, networks, sensors/scanners/cameras, and configure I/O devices for automated systems.Support Manufacturing and Factory Automation Engineers, coordinating prototype jobs and resources.Assist in design, fabrication, and verification of production and prototype fixtures, jigs, and simple machines; train operators on their use.Act as Engineering representative on Final Assembly Continuous Improvement Teams, driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity through Lean Manufacturing principles.Review and assist with assembly line layout activities, identifying waste, recommending and implementing improvements, and coordinating equipment/bench moves.Assist with development of labor standards, perform time studies, and line balancing activities.Assist with development of final assembly processes, coordinate with departments, and support early assembly processes at all locations.Create PO Req's to order tools and supplies.Utilize Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint to effectively communicate information.Research assembly techniques, equipment, systems, and/or products.Support ISO 9001 certification maintenance.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and Factory Automation/Manufacturing Engineers.Required EducationA.S. in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience.Required ExperienceMinimum 3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering.7+ years of related experience preferred.Required Skills and AbilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.Hands-on troubleshooting experience to identify root cause.Ability to read advanced engineering documents (schematics, diagrams).Experience with manufacturing systems (ERP, Agile, EMES).Ability to maintain product records and documentation.Ability to assemble/disassemble products, including prototypes.Intermediate mechanical skills.Ability to train or direct other technicians and operators.Basic knowledge of Studio 5000 and ladder logic for PLC controls.Basic experience with complex robot features (Fanuc/UR Robot).Ability to research, tabulate, and summarize data.Participation in PFMEA reviews.About US Tech Solutions:US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
