Role Summary As a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Superintendent, you will play a critical role in planning, managing, and executing various aspects of our projects. You will oversee materials and equipment, assist in managing personnel, ensure thorough documentation, and support project goals to achieve timely and profitable completions. Your actions will be integral to aligning with JE Dunn's vision and values. Autonomy and Decision Making: Make decisions within your authority while consulting with supervisors for other matters. Key Role Responsibilities - Core SUPERINTENDENT FAMILY - CORE Champion the safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment and mentoring others in safety practices. Manage subcontractors and organize the job workflow effectively. Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and safety and quality programs for your assigned projects. Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed tasks. Coordinate the custody and care of the project site. Lead daily and weekly meetings to track progress and address challenges. Attend progress and project OAC meetings as needed. Create, manage, and adjust project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers. Monitor project budget and costs using management systems. Communicate essential project information to stakeholders effectively. Maintain up-to-date project documentation and logs. Evaluate and track project performance and make necessary adjustments. Manage material and equipment procurement for the project. Support the procurement processes for materials and other costs. Assist in selecting appropriate tools and equipment for project needs. Ensure accurate timecard reporting and proper coding. Guarantee quality compliance through established standards and resources. Oversee project closeouts by coordinating completion activities with owners and architects. Understand the project pursuit process and engage in pre-planning. Work with field leadership to establish effective staffing for projects. Identify costs and schedule impacts associated with project changes. Engage in negotiations related to project changes. Contribute to project review meetings and presentations. Participate in the procurement meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Understand and manage contractual terms effectively. Take responsibility for identifying and recruiting top talent. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core Superintendent 2 Manage moderately complex projects from initiation to completion. Assume responsibility for all management aspects including scheduling, safety, quality, and overall production. Identify and manage project risks proactively. Utilize your knowledge to identify issues and propose solutions for team consideration. Manage deliverables involving various internal functions. Engage in project bid pursuits with your team. Involve in negotiations regarding project changes with relevant parties. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong accuracy in work performance within deadlines. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate ability to conduct impactful presentations. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office. Solid understanding of construction management fundamentals. Comprehensive knowledge of project processes driving project success. Ability to develop lasting relationships within teams beyond a single project. Intermediate proficiency in project management and accounting tools. Familiarity with JE Dunn's specific technologies. Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software. Ability to apply Lean principles effectively. Intermediate understanding of various trades and scopes of work. Insight into self-perform and labor productivity issues. Competency in budget management and forging future work relationships. Awareness of organizational resources and structure. Understanding of layout skill requirements. Intermediate knowledge of crane flagging and rigging practices. Ability to assess the impact of document changes on project schedules. Collaborative mindset for team interaction. Education High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience 5+ years of construction field experience. 3+ years of field supervision experience. Experience with Lean principles is preferred. Working Environment Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license. Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. May require travel and/or relocation as needed. Possible exposure to extreme weather conditions. Willingness to work non-traditional hours to meet project requirements. Frequent physical activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling. Occasional activities: sitting, viewing computer screens.
