CDL A Delivery Driver with Sign-on Bonus

Job Description: Position Details: Earn an average of $38/hour after your training period. Position Purpose: As a vital part of the food supply chain, our delivery drivers ensure that customers receive their products on time and in excellent condition. You will represent our company and build strong relationships with our clients! The CDL-A Driver operates a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and over-the-road routes, efficiently delivering and unloading food products while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Professionally communicate and collaborate with customers, vendors, and coworkers for timely responses to inquiries. Work as a team member to support the company in various capacities. Conduct pre/post trip inspections and safety checks to comply with DOT regulations. Report safety issues and ensure compliance with company standards. Adhere to DOT regulations and company driving policies. Inspect trailers for secure freight and report any safety hazards immediately. Perform count checks of loaded items and verify invoices. Accurately complete all required paperwork for freight documentation. Handle deliveries according to a predetermined schedule. Unload products and transport them to designated storage areas within customer sites. Perform damage control checks and communicate with supervisors regarding necessary actions. Confirm delivery with customers and collect payments where applicable. Ensure the security of the vehicle and load at all times. Effectively handle customer returns and complete necessary paperwork. Maintain daily logs of service hours as per Federal and company requirements. Keep the vehicle and loading areas clean and organized. Secure all equipment at the end of your shift and finish required paperwork. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. A valid CDL-A license is required. Must be at least 21 years of age and meet all applicable state licensing requirements. Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last 3 years. Must pass a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and driving road test. Must have or be able to secure a valid DOT Health Card. Able to lift and carry cases/freight weighing between 10-90 pounds as required.
