Board Member, Fundraising and Development Initiatives About the Organization Join a respected organization dedicated to providing crucial support services for individuals with learning disabilities. Industry Consumer Services Type Non-Profit Employees 1-10 About the Opportunity We are excited to invite enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Board as a member with a focus on Fundraising and Development. This volunteer position plays a vital role in enhancing our fundraising initiatives and building strong relationships with donors. Collaborate closely with our leadership team to implement effective and strategic fundraising strategies, guide fellow board members in outreach efforts, and elevate donor engagement. Your responsibilities will include: Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities. Leading the Development Committee to drive our fundraising efforts. Spearheading annual fundraising campaigns to reach our financial goals. We are looking for candidates with a robust background in fundraising, preferably with experience in leadership, nonprofit governance, or previous board service. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, coupled with a genuine passion for our mission, are essential. Applicants are expected to actively participate in board functions, make a personal annual donation, and dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per month to board and committee activities. Attendance at all board meetings, involvement in at least one committee, and a proactive role in fundraising efforts are also expected. This position requires strategic thinking regarding board growth and sustainability, as well as a long-term commitment to our organization's success. Experience in grant writing is beneficial but not required. Our company is committed to delivering high-quality, multi-sensory structured literacy instruction, particularly to students from low-income households and underserved communities.
