Your work environment may include single or multi-family residences, assisted living facilities, independent living spaces, or memory care units. You will assess and treat a diverse range of conditions, including language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication challenges, voice disorders, and patients needing alternative or augmentative communication methods. Our SLPs frequently assist patients recovering from strokes or dealing with progressive diseases such as Parkinson’s and dementia.
