As a vital member of the Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems, and components. Your Responsibilities: Utilize hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and electronic testing devices. Ensure the safe operation of machinery and components, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Follow blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and the use of precision measuring and testing instruments. Conduct boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, recording results and making necessary chemical adjustments. Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers, making repairs as needed. Record and analyze utility meter readings, taking corrective actions as necessary. Perform routine safety checks and address any concerns promptly. Inspect motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and follow maintenance procedures. Inspect, clean, and lubricate shafts, bearings, and gears according to equipment manuals. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System effectively. Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. A two-year technical degree in a related field is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary. Familiarity with maintenance equipment. A minimum of 6 months of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting is required; applicable military experience is acceptable. Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment to be considered. Ability to read blueprints and schematics is essential. Proficiency in reading and understanding maintenance instructions in English is mandatory. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required. Experience with Lockout / Tagout procedures is necessary. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. The estimated hourly pay for this position ranges from $23.00 to $26.50, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. This role will remain open until filled.
