Join Our Team as an Associate Medical Director - CarelonRx Are you a dedicated medical professional seeking a flexible career opportunity? CarelonRx is at the forefront of pharmacy benefit management and medication dispensing services, working to enhance affordability and improve member outcomes. Your Responsibilities: Provide expert clinical guidance for pharmacy prior authorizations in accordance with CarelonRx clinical guidelines. Assist clinicians in delivering timely and consistent responses to both members and healthcare providers. Conduct peer-to-peer reviews of prior authorization requests with attending physicians or other healthcare professionals to discuss determinations. Participate in a 24x7 on-call weekend rotation to support our clinical team. What You Need to Succeed: M.D. or D.O. with Board certification from an approved certifying board (ABMS or AOA). An active and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine. Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Residency in a state or territory of the U.S. during the review process. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in utilization management is highly desirable. This position offers a competitive salary range of $220,480 to $396,864. Specific locations with potential opportunities include: District of Columbia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Columbus OH.
